Pretty cool website. I stumbled on it and read through a few entries. He makes comics and writes about teaching, answers questions. I went to twitter and searched for #education. It's a huge topic and peoples tweets about it are really interesting to read. It also gives you access to a ton of articles. It's a pretty diverse perspective, Below are some tweets that really stood out to me in one way or another.
This article is really good and there are a lot of links to other really interesting articles/blogs.

The video below containers student perspectives on their teachers from Yale students. It focuses on undergraduate teachers but some of the skills these students are talking about and some of the values that they're appreciating in their teachers are issues that I believe should be addressed in high school and middle school: research skills, taking chances in your writing, one on one discussion, how to read effectively, along with others.
I stumbled on a link to Larry Ferlazzo's blog. This particular entry has links to excerpts from his book: "Self-Driven Learning". From what I read he seems to share a lot of Nancy Atwell's ideas. I'm interested to read more about it.
I haven't seen this movie in a really long. I watched this clip again from the end of the movie and I think this shows what all teachers really want to do. They want to inspire and to move their students, and to teach them what's right and to stand up for what's right, in anyway they can.
